Frames Inspection

Frames were completed on Wednesday as confirmed over a phone message from our CLE.  Windows and sliding doors for the alfresco, laundry and balcony were installed Thursday.  I rang up our Site Supervisor Rick to arrange frames inspection which he said can only be done on a weekday between 8am-12pm.  Husband cannot definitely make it on such a time-slot due to work commitment.  Rick is non-compromising which disappointed me but nonetheless had to agree to meet him by myself on Friday as we do not want delay with the construction.  So, Friday morning at 8.30am I met Rick on-site who took me through the inspection which lasted for about 30 minutes.  There were no tradesmen working on the site on that day and Rick said they will come back Monday to do the roofing.  I pointed out to Rick that they missed adding frames for our lounge wall variation.  He said that the matter can be fixed on the same day and will only need an hour for the tradesmen to complete.  I also stressed to Rick that we are putting our 100% trust to CH that the house is being built within specifications and quality standards.  Rick has 12 years of experience as SS within the home-building industry and sounds really an expert in his field, so, we'll have to give our thumbs up for the progress he made with our house so far.

Delightful Frames

It's now week 5 and it's amazing how much can be done in such a short span of time.  The house has frames.  We have been visiting the site daily to check the progress and took photos every single day.  We also met our neighbours at the back of our house, they are a nice couple who moved into their house a couple of months ago, they bought the house from the previous first owners who built the house about a year ago  and unfortunately got divorced, thus, sold the house.  The couple has got one adult child who does not live with them.  We also met the couple who are building their house next to us, another mature-aged couple who live on their own - their daughter is already married and also building their own house in the same block as ours. That remains one more neighbour on our other side to meet, hopefully they will be as friendly as these 2 couples we've just met.
