Lock-Up Complete

Two weeks have now passed since my last blog and within those two weeks, so much has been done with our house.  Bricks and plastering have all been completed.  We also now have our cornices, stairs and cabinets in the kitchen, laundry, bathroom and ensuite.  And yes, on Saturday, we found the renderers putting the first coat onto our front facade. Final rendering with our chosen colours  will be done after a few weeks.  Received our lock-up invoice last Thursday, we have now officially progressed 63% in our build.

  2. Hi Reinsey

It's really exciting to see our house progressing so well. No appx date of completion yet but will try to ask the SS again.

Just visited your blog today and you are making progress too, lovely frames you've got there!

  3. Really exciting now Flipflop - watching all your selections come to life. Must be ready to paint then tile? and all the beautiful fittings. Locked out, no fun - just looking thru windows or finding a trade on-site. Good Luck.

  4. Hi Deb

You have truly convinced us to hire an independent inspector, so, will be contacting Kevin shortly and hopefully he'll accept the job.

  5. Good to hear - if he finds nothing, fantastic - if he does $ well spent. I think I'll be having to hit him for commission!...a number of buildees have used him since my recommendation.

Carlisle were fantastic with Kevin, everything was either attended to or discussed re their building practices...with some compromises. He even found another defect at Handover which is being corrected. Carlisle were certainly out to please.

  7. what a great update Flipflop...so much has been done for two months since your slab was poured...BTW, did you upgrade to render the walls near the front door in the porch...in ours it is just bricks, no render..It is the Aylsbury facade same as the display at Keysborough..
